Consistency without bottlenecks
The traditional choice is between quality and speed: route everything through the graphics desk and wait, or let reporters use whatever free tool they know and accept a patchwork homepage. Shared templates remove that trade-off. The graphics team defines the look once; reporters fill it with data. Specialists spend their time on the ambitious projects instead of the fifteenth bar chart of the week.
Privacy for stories that have not run yet
Investigations, embargoed economic data, polling before publication: newsrooms routinely hold data that must not leak. Datastripes processes data in the reporter’s browser, so on Team and Enterprise plans the rows are not stored on our servers while the story is being built. Nothing is public until an editor publishes it.
For leaked or highly sensitive material, Enterprise offers a self-hosted runtime so even the published embed is served from your own infrastructure.
Built for breaking news and live events
Link a chart to a Google Sheet that your data team updates, and every embed refreshes on its own: results maps, live counters, running tallies. When the night is over, freeze the final version so the archive shows exactly what you reported. Team plans include priority support during elections and major events.
Transparent by default
Readers trust charts they can check. Every Datastripes chart can show a source line, notes on method and a downloadable data table. Corrections are versioned, so you can show what changed and when.
Works with your stack
Embeds work in WordPress VIP, Arc XP, Ghost, Drupal, custom CMSs and AMP-free mobile pages. Charts can also be exported as PNG or SVG for print and social, and as PowerPoint for internal briefings. Serving embeds from a custom subdomain keeps your brand front and centre and makes content-security policies easy.
